Responsible for imparting knowledge and skills to middle school students. The candidate will utilize research-based theories and strategies to teach, organize and implement structured lessons for topics that include management and business principles, computer literacy, personal finance, accounting, computer programming, webpage design, and coding. This position reports to the principal.
Instructs students through effective differentiated teaching methods to ensure comprehension and mastery of content.
Prepares engaging and challenging lessons.
Attends faculty meetings and professional learning sessions (GACTE Summer Conference, Cluster Drive-ins sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education, APS Professional Development, etc.).
Maintains and operates an active Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO).
Administers and/or supports the state and local standardized testing processes and policies.
Administers various types of assessments to monitor student's comprehension of content.
Enhances course content in the form of remediation, modification, and enrichment.
Requirements : Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Certification/License: Must hold a valid Georgia Professional Certification in Business Education at a T4 level or higher, or be eligible for certificate.
Work Experience: Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.
Compensation : Salary Grade: T4 Bachelor ? T7 Doctorate
Salary Range: FY'20 APS Teacher Salary Schedule
Work Year: 202 Days
