RESPONSIBILITY:
- Serve as a member of the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center's Senior leadership team
- Ensure the programs operated by the Regional Information Center comply with federal and state regulations
- Provide thought leadership/partnership and expertise in NYS Education Department initiatives and innovative practices
- Supervise various departments as needed including Network Support and Cybersecurity
- Direct and coordinate activities of internal cross-functional collaboration within departments and liaison to other state regional information centers maintaining external business relationships
- Work in conjunction with service managers on technical and educational technology matters, both internally and externally
- Build/extend relationships with school district partners by assisting schools/districts in developing, monitoring, and evaluating technology needs
- Assist with the development of new services and the revision or strengthening of current services
- Facilitate the involvement of component district representatives in NYSED annual 793 plan
- Assist with the business and management aspects of the Center (budget, program descriptions, partnerships, evaluation, etc.)
- Assist with supervision and evaluation of staff
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in which the primary function was systems management, project management and or customer account management in a data processing environment ; OR a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration and five (5) years of related work experience; Minimum of two (2) years work experience in a supervisory capacity. Mission driven mindset; Thorough knowledge of technology’s application to an educational environment including detailed understanding of network technology trends, designs, and implementations; Excellent communication skills; Ability to travel to schools and districts throughout the region and surrounding areas;Ability to provide support in leadership for field-based consultants/teams; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team, and to interface diplomatically with all levels of staff, contractors, teachers, and school administration; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
