Lake Forest Public School Districts 67 and 115 is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant.

Description: The Human Resources Assistant provides support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Administration Center and is responsible for duties within the Human Resources Department.

Administrative Center Receptionist Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors by greeting and directing them to the proper location or personAnswer, screen, and forward any incoming phone calls from the Districts' main lines while providing general information about Districts' events and/or operationsReceive and sort daily mail and deliveriesMaintain security by following outlined proceduresPerform other clerical duties such as sorting, filing, and photocopying

AESOP/Substitute Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Enroll new employees in AesopManage on-boarding process for substitutesDevelop and provide on-going resources for substitutesMaintain AESOP system setupCoordinate District 67 faculty and staff substitute requests and assign/fill vacanciesMaintain communication with Human Resources and Payroll staff regarding substitutesMaintain communication with District 67 Administrators and Secretaries regarding AESOP and substitute coordination concernsMaintain communication with District 115 Faculty Secretary regarding AESOP and substitute coordination concerns

Absence Management Responsibilities:
  • Post leaves taken in a timely mannerCommunicate with administrators and employees on leave matters

Other Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate student teaching and observation requestsSchedule job interviews and assist with interview processMaintain Global Compliance Network with employee names and assignment(s)Organize employee benefit related eventsAssist in preparation for compliance auditsComplete data entry/collection, reports, and other human resource related duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Relevant experience and/or post-secondary training in human resources - preferredProficient use of Microsoft Office suite and school-based business management information systemsFollow all Board of Education policies and Collective Bargaining AgreementsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively - written and verbalAbility to meet deadlinesOutgoing, friendly, and customer focusedComfortable and pleasant demeanor in very busy environmentsDemonstrates leadership abilities and must be a team playerWorks with speed, attention to detail, consistency, and organizationMaintain professional appearance
