Job Description:

We are currently accepting applications for our Academic Coordinator position at our Mastery Camden KAPs program located in Camden, New Jersey.

Mastery Camden KAPS provides an early educational therapeutic and behavioral model for students in grades K- 10th experiencing significant difficulties with appropriate behavior that impedes their ability to take advantage of their regular education programs. Camelot provides smaller classes and more individual attention in a nurturing environment.

Academic Coordinators in our schools will focus primarily on professional development, state testing support, scheduling and graduation requirements. This position will also provide push-in and pull out academic intervention and will also work as a liaison between Camelot and outside agencies, families and community partners.

Experience and Skills:

Requirements:
  • New Jersey Instructional Certificate (Teacher or Administrator) or certification from another state and the willingness to become certified in New Jersey
  • Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with at-risk youth
  • Experience leading staff preferred
