Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, plus six years of progressively more responsible experience in assigned office or department, two years of which must have been in employee benefits administration and customer service. Can demonstrate knowledge of practices, procedures, and policies of the Office of Benefit Services; effective organizational skills; ability to analyze and interpret data and reach sound conclusions; ability to work independently with minimum supervision; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to exercise tact, judgment, and initiative; and ability to deal quickly and accurately with quantitative information and verify correctness of actions.
