Description

The Project Manager 2 works directly with VP of Enrollment as a business owner of Enrollment to guide requirements of large scale changes, both internally and interdepartmentally generated, as needed to improve contractual agreements, change initiative, and end-to-end workflows for internal users and K12's customer base. They are responsible for supporting the planning and direction of projects which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. The incumbent helps enable project goals to be accomplished within the prescribed time frame, funding parameters and with adherence to quality standards. The incumbent also prepares or facilitates the preparation of project deliverables and communicates with team members regarding the status of specific projects as appropriate.

• Supports Enrollment Center, Customer Care & Technology and Reclamations Operations in development of procedures for Technical Projects, UAT & often pilot programs; • Works directly with multiple teams, including external vendors and partnered companies, to assist in guiding business requirements, UAT test scenarios, and production of training materials for change and enhancement initiatives; • Develops project plans specifying goals, requirements, scheduling, risks, contingency plans, and prioritization of in-house and third party resources; Ensures a common understanding of project plans to align stakeholders, third party partners and team members in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated, and within cost budgeted; • Helps develop and refine project plans for Enrollment, Customer Care & Technology and Reclamations Operations Center technology initiatives. Assists with the identification, implementation and evolution of project procedures and workflows in support of K12's dynamic and growing business needs; Optimizes processes, tools, metrics, and staff to enable effective and efficient delivery for all assigned projects; • Coordinates with Enrollment, Customer Care & Technology and Reclamations Operations Training Department to develop and validate training articles for all system functionality, including changes made to the systems such as fixes & enhancements, new launches/initiatives and technological advancements; • Records detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions in order to establish the project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter; • Coordinates with other K12 teams to ensure business prioritizations are on track and communicates necessary changes to management. This includes all UAT, requirements/stories, deployment support; release validations; • Interacts with other departments and organizations to ensure project success.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree AND • Five (5) years of experience in a related role INCLUDING prior project management exposure OR • Equivalent combination of education and experience OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Existing / Prior K12 experience a plus • Ability to work across multiple job levels to achieve results • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven process • Consistent success in working in a team environment • Excellent Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Web application skills • Outstanding time management and organization skills • Ability to pass required background check DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification such as Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) • Familiarity with Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
