The successful candidate will:
Assist the theater director with individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in the productions.
Assist the theater director by leading the organization and/or directing of the Freshman/Sophomore play in the fall.
Assist the theater director in all aspects of the season's productions such as, but not limited to, rehearsals and performances.
Assist the theater director in the responsibility for supervision.
Assist the theater director and theater manager in the maintenance and proper utilization of facilities.
Promote and maintain strong parental and community involvement with the theater program.
Assist the theater director in working with all activity personnel for the productions including designers, choreographers, choral and band teachers.
Assist the theater director in establishing the performance criteria and casting for all productions.
Share responsibility for the safety, conduct, and general welfare of students.
Maintain high standards of student conduct.
Maintain regular attendance.
Maintain confidentiality and unquestionable integrity.
Position: Part-time temporary, season specific.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in theater preferred.
Certification: Required to hold a valid substitute certificate with The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (60 or more hours of college credit required).
Experience: Professional directing experience preferred. Working with school-aged children and background in education is strongly desired.
Compensation: $3,600
Benefits: Not Eligible.
FLSA Status: Exempt, Professional Exemption-Teacher.
