RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collect funds and deliver materials to sites weekly.
  • Count receipts and prepare deposits for the bank.
  • Substitute in sites as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Program Managers.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Understands basic accounting and handling of funds.
  • Able to make decisions regarding student behavior management.
  • Able to supervise staff sites.
  • Ability to communicate with families, teachers, supervisor staff, coordinators and others in an inclusive manner.
  • Has knowledge of Danbury's families, the community and has the skills to be effective when working with them.
  • Abilities to speak, read and write in English.
  • Has excellent customer service skills.
  • Willing to be part of a working team for program assessment and improvement.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
  • Bilingual helpful
  • Associates degree in early childhood, social services, teaching, CDA, or ParaPro test.
  • 2 years experience in working with children or program management.
  • Experience with handling of funds and basic accounting.
  • Use of Microsoft application such as Word and Excel and databases such as EZCare and CAYEN.
  • Experience working with school age students and program planning.
  • Must have reliable transportation as this positions requires the use of employee's car with mileage reimbursement.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Full time - 40 hours per week with benefits
  • $19.00 per hour as per CSEA Paraeducators Bargaining Agreement
