  The Advanced Learning Program is seeking an energetic, positive and child-centered teacher to work in a diverse Elementary school in Greenwich CT. The ideal candidate understands the growth and development of children, is able to plan and deliver lessons accordingly, help students learn subject matter and skills that will broaden their learning experiences.
Responsibilities
• Prepares lesson plans that achieve clear objectives, uses appropriate techniques and serves the needs of all learners in the classroom
• Demonstrate strong content knowledge
• Maintains accurate and complete records
• Assesses student learning on a continual basis and identify areas of intervention if needed
• Communicate student progress with parents through the use of interim reports, report cards, and/or conferences
• Designs instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress and use assessments to refine curriculum and instructional practices
• Maintains a positive learning environment that encourages open communication between the teacher and learner
• Establishes and maintains professional relationships
• Participates in professional learning
Knowledge/Skills
• Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
• Effective, active listening skills
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
CT certification is required
Knowledge of G/T Best Practices Preferred
