This includes Training material from Business office teams for on-boarding and Scope and Sequence for Business Clerk Quarterly Trainings. The PD designer will collaborate with Business office teams in crafting engaging PD content and materials for the FY 2020. The content will be aligned to current polices and procedures and be scaffolded for Business Clerks at every stage from new hires to senior clerks. PD Designer are essential to ensuring Business clerks receive engaging and aligned on-boarding and trainings.

Accountabilities
- Work with Appropriate Finance Team to identify session objectives. Develop self-paced learning modules that include assessments.
- Ensure that training materials and professional development materials are aligned with IDEA Public Schools Policies and Procedures and state and federal guidelines and include but not limited to the following topics:
- Finance team structure, roles and core operating mechanisms
- Financial planning annual process and management
- Purchasing including the American Express Corporate Card Program
- Accounts payable including appropriate receiving
- Fixed assets and the tagging and inventory process
- Discretionary capital expenditures
- Student Based Activity Accounting and cash handling
- Participate in current on-boarding training to help identify gaps and strengths.
- Author scripted sessions for training of new Business Clerks that include: Facilitator Guides, Guided Notes, Activities and Guiding Questions.
- Author rigorous sessions for Senior Business Clerks that include self-guided exercises, reflection questions, and activities.
- Products delivered should function both in-person and via web trainings.
- All Sessions should have a Learning objective.
- Maintain and track a Project Schedule or timeline.
- Revise deliverables during review process and after pilot phase.
- Participate in regular communication with Financial Planning team.
- Ensure all staff managing fundraising efforts have completed cash handling training.
- Provide high-quality, timely product delivery and communication under a remote work environment.
- Create digital formats of all products.
- Aligned to BC Goals and their development as Campus Financial Stewards.
- Each PD sessions should be scaffolded for each tier of Business Clerk.
- Scope and Sequence should align with Business office Calendar and Deadlines.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience
- Experience: 2-3 years of planning and content design
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and implementation skills
- Superior ability to design curriculum aligned to standards with demonstrated writing ability (curriculum writing sample required)

Compensation:
- $30 per hour. PD Designer must track hours worked and submit monthly invoices detailing hours worked and services performed. PD Designer will not be eligible for IDEA Public Schools' employee benefit offerings.
