Lake Forest Community High School is seeking a Student Theater Technical Assistant. The position reports to the Theater Director and the pay rate is $11.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with technology support during school-based events (i.e. lighting, sound, set-up, projection etc.)
- Work with the Theater Director to understand and prepare to fulfill the requests and needs associated with each event
- Communicate with the Theater Director regarding issues and/or concerns that occur during events
- Check-in and out with the adult supervisor at each event
- Submit relevant paperwork associated with job responsibilities in a timely manner
- Maintain safe working environment for stakeholders, materials, equipment, and facilities
- Apply working knowledge of sound equipment and light equipment to the production of the show
- Perform other duties as assigned by Theater Director
Qualifications:
- Understanding of audio and visual components
- Ability to:
- Understand and follow basic oral and written instructions
- Follow school regulations and policies in a professional manner
- Maintain good working relationships with staff and community members
- Communicate to supervisors and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner
