PWCS Public Schools is seeking a School Division COVID-19 Testing Customer Service Assistant to assist with the facilitation of a successful division wide testing program. The incumbent will serve as an on-site resource for schools and the testing vendor as they navigate the needs of their communities in regard to COVID-19 testing.
REPORTS TO:
Principal and Director of Benefit and Retirement Services
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
● Strong oral and written communication skills with healthcare professionals and the public
● Ability to pass background check and necessary screening for work in a school environment
● Available to work a split schedule (morning and afternoon)
● Knowledge of COVID-19 testing modalities
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office
● Knowledge of HIPAA
● Strong computer skills
● Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically
● Ability to work onsite
● Current valid driver's license

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/ILLUSTRATIVE EX OF WORK:
- Manage check-in, answer questions, and assist the vendor (who will be collecting COVID test results), with coordination efforts which may include contacting employees, rescheduling, etc.
- Travel among schools within the division to provide knowledge, resources and clinical expertise to school staff and on-site testing vendor.
- Report needs for additional clinical resources (e.g., PPE materials) to division leaders, the local emergency management office, and/or Virginia Department of Health.
- Coordinate with site-based administrator to ensure that testing location is open, fully stocked with supplies and functional for testing.
- Contribute to K-12 School Division COVID-19 response by assisting with any other duties as assigned.
SALARY:
$17.81/hour - Effective January 18, 2022
