Job Description

Administrator, Data Application | Grant Funded Position for Five Years

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for Enterprise Data Warehouse, mapping data from multiple sources (including Oracle, flat files, Excel), building and implementing the data flows, loading data and server security to local data environments. Required to design/develop the data model for optimal efficiency and demonstrated experience in using DI Studio, Oracle, SAS Metadata Administration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Updates and maintains local data servers.

•Creates reports, spreadsheets, databases, and various other files based on user data requests for information about students, teachers and/or office staff.

•Creates custom views/reports in software applications.

•Maintains and creates new relational data tables. This data can be used by programming group to provide information and also by some users through the intranet or other software.

•Completes work order tickets to maintain rights and roles of staff, perform analysis and fulfill data requests to end users.

•Develops programs and data for use in data analysis and presentation.

•Works with approved outside agencies and 3rd party vendor requests to ensure compatibility with existing software and applications.

•Monitors data accuracy and daily download of information from our current student information system.

•Maintains the integrity of source data by through the creation of data integrity projects.

•Archives data in an organized file structure to be able report and compare historical data.

•Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

•Knowledge and use of a computer programming language.

•Knowledge of analyzing data.

•Knowledge of how to move, import, and export files and still maintain the integrity and security of those files.

•Knowledge of commonly used data storage and retrieval methods and how to produce data that can be understood by district end users

•Knowledge of the rules and laws that govern data storage and access for public school districts

•Knowledge of Windows and networking/server environment

•Knowledge of SQL

•Ability to analyze, arrange and report on complex data

•Knowledge of the flow and relationship of source data to produce accurate reporting outputs.

•Ability to learn several SAS technologies

•Ability to multi-task and prioritize

•Knowledge of principles and techniques of computer programming applications and documentation

•Skill working in Windows network and server environment

•Knowledgeable in data manipulation from multiple sources while maintaining the integrity of all data

Job Qualification

Pay Grade PSM1 | Full-Time | 12 Months | Minimum Annual Salary $59,890

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

•Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in a field closely related to the occupation or comparable education and professional certification

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

District PowerSchool Instant Productivity Certification desirable. PowerScheduler Certification desirable.
