Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of school improvement activities with Design Fellows, Executive Directors, and School Leaders.Collaborate with the State Department of Education to ensure effective school improvement plan development and implementation.Lead planning and support implementation of community advisory boards and community engagement around school improvement.Work with the Innovation and Accountability Office to support the division of teaching in learning in using data to drive decisions to improve academic achievement.Work closely with department heads, District staff, students and families, and external stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency, return on investment, and transparency as it relates to school improvement.Collaborate with District, State and City of Providence staff to design and implement improvement strategies.Support implementation of process improvement strategies across the office of Innovation and AccountabilitySupport implementation of improved policies and procedures for internal- and external-facing processes.Identify realistic and achievable solutions to persistent problems related to school improvement and create and/or support the creation of detailed action plans to put such solutions in place.Increase transparency for all stakeholders, both internal and external, of the school improvement processes.Develop and implement a process for the submission of concept papers and solicitation letters to potential funders.Work with school teams and/or teachers to support the writing and submission of school-level grant applications to third party fundersCommunicate, manage, and enforce PSD policies and procedures related to third party grant applications and grant-related community partnerships.Active and regular research and track available RFPs with goals that coincide with district priorities and needs.Publication of regular grant bulletins and updates that keep Teaching and Learning, Innovation and Accountability, and school-based staff apprised of grant opportunitiesDesign, write, and submit grant applications as requested by the Executive Director of Innovation and AccountabilityPerform other duties as assigned.
Salary Rate Range

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.Master's degree from an accredited educational institution preferred.
Qualifications
- At least three (3) years' relevant work experienceDemonstrated track record of success in leading strategic, cross-functional initiatives; coalition-and relationship-building across diverse groups of stakeholders; and thriving in an achievement-oriented, fast-paced environment.Experience in an urban school district is preferred.Any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.Must have the knowledge and skills to build positive relationships with people from diverse populationsCommitment to the mission and vision of PPSD and the relevance of job functions to that mission and visionMust be confidentialMust possess and consistently model excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.You must complete the new hire compliance training prior to your first day of employmentBilingual PreferredSelected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
